Ingredients

Unmodified Potato Starch

With the highest concentration of resistant starch out of any other food based source, unmodified potato starch has been proven to provide numerous health benefits. The potato starch in PreBiotic+ is made from premium grade high starch European potatoes by an all natural water and filtration process.

Raw Green Banana Flour

Milled in the United States, our banana flour is made from the pulp of unripe bananas before the sugar content has developed. Raw green banana flour is extremely nutrient dense; it’s high in potassium, vitamins, minerals, and resistant starch.

Inulin FOS

Naturally found in many different vegetables, InulinFOS consists of short and long chains of fructose molecules that stimulate the growth of beneficial flora in the gastrointestinal tract, supporting digestive health and reducing blood glucose response. PreBiotic+ features Orafti ®Synergy1 InulinFOS which is made from GMO free chicory grown in Europe.

Trehalose

Sometimes referred to as “mushroom sugar”, trehalose is a naturally occurring sugar found in mushrooms, seeds, algae, and some drought enduring desert plants. Trehalose is only about half as sweet as sucrose (table sugar), has a much lower glycemic index, and a slow digestion process. It’s added to PreBiotic+ because of its strong neuroprotective and antidepressant-like properties.

Ceylon Cinnamon

Also known as “true cinnamon”, ceylon cinnamon can help regulate blood sugar, reduce insulin resistance, and relieve joint pain. It’s also a rich source of antioxidants; just 1 teaspoon of ceylon cinnamon has more antioxidants than 8 ounces of pomegranate juice.

Prebiotic+™ Highlights:

● A complete Resistant Starch complex featuring potato starch, green banana flour, and InulinFOS
● Enhanced with super nutrients trehalose and ceylon cinnamon
● Each serving has 15 grams of resistant starch
● No GMO, no soy, no gluten, no artificial ingredients, no additives, no preservatives, and no dyes

What are prebiotics?

You may have heard of PRObiotics. Probiotics are live bacteria found in yogurt, fermented vegetables, and some dietary supplements. These are the "good bacteria" that comprise our gut microbiome and are part of a healthy, fully-functioning digestive system.

PREbiotics are food for our PRObiotics.

Prebiotics are a class of starchy plant fibers that can’t be digested by the body. This is why some prebiotics are referred to as “resistant starch”. Prebiotics promote gut and overall health by encouraging the growth of “friendly” gut flora (such as bifidobacteria and lactobacilli).

Resistant starches, while they appear on a nutrition label to be carbodhydrates, act nothing like carbohydrates. They pass through the digestive system undigested (resistant to digestion) until they hit the large intestine and colon.

There, our probiotics or beneficial bacteria, ferment these prebiotics into the short chain fatty acids acetate, propionate, and butyrate. These fatty acids help maintain proper pH in the gut for optimal digestion and healthy metabolism. They also help regulate blood sugar, increase satiety, and discourage the growth of “unfriendly” bacteria.

The benefits go beyond gut health: prebiotics also increase the production of certain neurotransmitters. Increased butyrate levels from prebiotic fermentation stimulate the production of GABA in the brain. Prebiotics also feed the serotoninproducing bacteria in the gut, and serotonin converts to melatonin when darkness falls. The result is reduced anxiety, overall mental clarity, and deeper, more restorative sleep.

Different prebiotics “feed” the beneficial gut bacteria in different ways, which is why Prebiotic+™ was formulated as a Resistant Starch complex contain several types of prebiotics.

Optimized Nutrition

Resistant starch appears to have a consistent effect on metabolism regardless of the type of diet you eat. Even for diabetics and people on ketogenic diets, resistant starch does not yield any rise in blood glucose, and for those of us eating moderate to high carb diets, it has a notable ‘blunting’ effect on blood glucose behavior. This means that regardless of how you eat, PreBiotic+ will have a beneficial effect on your appetite, satiety, digestion, metabolism and gut health.

A Complete Prebiotic

PreBiotic+ is a nutritionally complete resistant starch complex. The combination of raw potato starch and green banana flour yields an optimal concentration of resistant starch for daily supplementation. The addition of trehalose, inulin and cinnamon ensure that the vitamin and mineral profile are complete, along with significant antioxidant levels to soothe the digestive inflammation so many people face.

No Artificial Ingredients

We never use artificial ingredients, flavors or colorings. As with all of our products, we source the highest quality, all-natural ingredients and disclose their exact amount on the label. This ensures that you know exactly what you are putting into your body with each Natural Stacks product.

Unmodified Raw Potato Starch

With the highest concentration of resistant starch out of any other foodbased source, unmodified potato starch has been proven to provide numerous health benefits. The potato starch in PREBIOTIC+ is made from premiumgrade highstarch European potatoes by an allnatural water and filtration process.

Green Banana Flour

Milled in the United States, our banana flour is made from the pulp of unripe bananas before the sugar content has developed. Raw green banana flour is extremely nutrient dense; it’s high in potassium, vitamins, minerals, and resistant starch.

InulinFOS (FructoOligoSaccharide)

Naturally found in many different vegetables, InulinFOS consists of short and long chains of fructose molecules that stimulate the growth of beneficial flora in the gastrointestinal tract, supporting digestive health and reducing blood glucose response. PREBIOTIC+ features Orafti ®Synergy1 InulinFOS which is made from GMOfree chicory grown in Europe.

Trehalose

Sometimes referred to as “mushroom sugar”, trehalose is a naturally occurring sugar found in mushrooms, seeds, algae, and some drought-enduring desert plants. Unlike sucrose (table sugar), trehalose is only about half as sweet, has a much lower glycemic index, and a slow digestion process. It’s added to PREBIOTIC+ because of its strong neuroprotective and health-promoting properties.

Ceylon Cinnamon

Also known as “true cinnamon”, ceylon cinnamon can help optimize carbohydrate metabolism, and relieve joint pain. It’s also a rich source of antioxidants; just 1 tsp. of ceylon cinnamon has more antioxidants than 8 oz. of pomegranate juice. Different than the commercial grade “cassia” cinnamon available at supermarkets, ceylon cinnamon has lighter, more delicate citrus tones and has been shown to have greater health benefits.

Resistant Starch (RS2) - Unmodified Raw Potato Starch & Green Banana Flour

In 2004, Nutrition & Metabolism found that “replacement of 5.4% of total dietary carbohydrate with RS significantly increased postprandial lipid oxidation and therefore could decrease fat accumulation in the longterm.” [1]

The American Journal for Clinical Nutrition found in 2005 that “dietary supplementation with resistant starch has the potential to improve insulin sensitivity.” [2]

The American Physiological Society found that “interactions between RS and the colonic microflora appear to be of benefit to the host in the short and long term. ” [3]

InulinFOS (FructoOligoSaccharide)

In 2009, the Journal of Physiology and Biochemistry found that Inulin FOS contributes to a wide range of health improvements: “FOS have important beneficial physiological effects such as low carcinogenicity, a prebiotic effect, improved mineral absorption and decreased levels of serum cholesterol” [4]

The Canadian Journal of Microbiology published a paper finding that “fructooligosaccharides represent a prebiotic fibre that supports the growth of a wide range of probiotic cultures and as such has a potential to improve the successfulness of probiotic treatments” [5]

InulinFOS can also improve the pH balance of the digestive system, by creating greater levels of the short chain fatty acid butyrate, according to a paper in the Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics: “Butyrate concentrations were higher in patients receiving the FOS/fibre enriched formula compared to standard formula” [6]

Trehalose

A 2013 study in Autophagy found that trehalose enhances autophagy in motoneurons, thereby slowing the progression of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease: “At the mechanistic level, trehalose treatment led to a significant upregulation in the expression of key autophagyrelated genes at the mRNA level… Consistent with these changes, trehalose administration enhanced the nuclear translocation of FOXO1, an important transcription factor involved in the activation of autophagy in neurons.” [7]

Current Drug Targets published a paper in 2014 that trehalose has unique neuroprotective properties: “Mounting experimental evidence suggests that trehalose may prevent neurodegenerative disorders by stabilizing proteins and promoting autophagy.” [8]

In a 2005 paper, Neurobiology of Disease reported that “trehalose, a simple disaccharide, has been shown to be effective in preventing the deactivation of numerous proteins and in protecting cells against stress.” [9]

Ceylon Cinnamon

Cinnamon has been researched extensively over the years and is well known for its antiinflammatory properties. In 2012, the Journal of Traditional Complementary Medicine published research that found that “after chemical profiling of cinnamon's components, their biological activities including antimicrobial, antiviral, antioxidant, antitumor, antihypertension, antilipemic, antidiabetes, gastroprotective and immunomodulatory were reported by many investigators.” [10]

The European Journal of Clinical Investigation noted in 2006 that in people suffering from type 2 diabetes, “subjects with a higher initial plasma glucose level may benefit more from cinnamon intake… The cinnamon extract seems to have a moderate effect in reducing fasting plasma glucose concentrations in diabetic patients with poor glycaemic control.” [11]

According to research published in the Proceedings of Nutrition Society’s 2008 publication, “Subjects with the metabolic syndrome who consume an aqueous extract of cinnamon have been shown to have improved fasting blood glucose, systolic blood pressure, percentage body fat and increased lean body mass.

What is PreBiotic+?

PreBiotic+ is a resistant starch complex that improves your digestion, metabolism and gut health. This also leads to increased serotonin production, better moods, and deeper sleep.

Should I continue to take the probiotic I'm already taking while using PreBiotic+?

Yes, PREbiotics are food for your PRObiotics. Your symbiotic stack sounds like a good one!  In fact, we recommend combining the two for optimal gut health.

Why do you use unmodified potato starch?

We use Unmodified Potato Starch because it has the highest concentration of resistant starch.  Out of any other food based source, unmodified potato starch has been proven to provide numerous health benefits. The potato starch in PreBiotic+ is made from premium grade high starch European potatoes by an all natural water and filtration process. It has better qualities then non GMO corn.

How did you choose to use the ingredients in PreBiotic+?

We chose our ingredients because they have more net resistant starch per gram of material than other ingredients, like kiwi powder. Our powerful prebiotic formula includes unmodified potato starch, green banana flower, and Inulin FOS.

Can I cook with Prebiotic+?

You can. But once cooked, the “RAW” starches in this complex are no longer raw, so you lose some of the resistant starches. While it is a great Paleo-friendly, gluten-free alternative flour, the benefits we discuss are only supported if Prebiotic+ is consumed without cooking.

Is there a money-back guarantee?
