01/ How It Works

Acetylcholine Brain Food™ is designed to promote the production of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter essential to mental processing. Research suggests that the natural compounds in Acetylcholine Brain Food™ are associated with memory and cognitive function.

  • Improved attention to detail†
  • Better mental clarity†
  • Faster thinking†
  • Cuts through brain fog†

To make acetylcholine, the brain needs two elements: an acetyl group and a choline molecule.

An acetyl group is a type of simple molecular building block of organic chemistry with a chemical formula of C2H30. The acetyl group is usually present in the brain as Acetyl-CoA. Choline and the acetyl group are grouped together by the enzyme Choline Acetyltransferase (ChAT).

They are both stored in neurons, released, and then broken down by another enzyme called acetylcholinesterase (AchE). To increase levels of acetylcholine, we use the following approach:

  • Create more acetyl-CoA molecules to provide acetyl groups to ChAT for acetylcholine production.
  • Provide more choline in choline producing (cholinergic) neurons for use by ChAT.
  • Increase or upregulate the activity of ChAT.
  • Decrease the activity of AchE.

Acetylcholine Brain Food™ contains the essential raw materials for the brain to increase production, achieve balance, and maintain prolonged activity of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine -- the Learning Molecule.

02/ Ingredients

Alpha GPC(192 mg)

There are many different types of acetylcholine precursors, but Alpha GPC has the most evidence supporting its efficacy and superior absorption through the gut wall and passage into the brain. Once in the brain, Alpha-GPC is only one step removed from becoming the bioactive neurotransmitter, acetylcholine.

Vitamin B1(64mg)

Vitamin B1, taking the form of Thiamine HCL, is included to increase the production of acetyl-CoA molecules in the brain. These are necessary molecules used to provide acetyl groups to the enzyme Choline Acetyltransferase (ChAT) so it can produce the acetylcholine neurotransmitter.

Pantethine(287 mg)

Pantethine is a high-potency form of Vitamin B-5 that shares the same role as Vitamin B-1 in its utility in generating Acetyl-CoA molecules to be used by ChAT in the production of acetylcholine

White Peony Extract(383 mg)

White peony extract enhances ChAT activity. By increasing activity of ChAT, we can accelerate the construction of acetylcholine from its chemical constituents

Acetyl-L-Carnitine(319 mg)

Acetyl-L-Carnitine is an immediate byproduct of metabolism that combines with CoA supplied by Vitamin B5 to produce Acetyl-CoA and Carnitine. At this stage in the process, this newly created Acetyl molecule is then able to join the Acetyl group of the acetylcholine molecule. Research has shown that Acetyl-L-Carnitine may also reduce mental and physical fatigue

04/ Frequently Asked Questions

What is Acetylcholine?

Acetylcholine is defined as a neurotransmitter that functions as a “neural lubricant”. It enhances or accelerates how nerve synapses communicate with one another.

It acts as a messenger hormone, carrying signals across nerve synapses.

Acetylcholine can be both an inhibitory and an excitatory neurotransmitter, able to switch from one function to another depending on the immediate demands of the central nervous system.

What is Acetylcholine's Function?

In the brain, acetylcholine primarily functions as a neurotransmitter and a neuromodulator.

It plays an important role in arousal, attention, memory, and motivation.

As one of the brain’s most prominent neurotransmitters, acetylcholine acts as a chemical messenger released by nerve cells to send signals to other cells in the body.

Another function of acetylcholine is to signal muscle movement and contraction.

How is Acetylcholine Different Than Choline?

Acetylcholine is the active neurotransmitter used by the brain to enhance communication across neural synapses.

Choline is a dietary nutrient and precursor to the neurotransmitter form (acetylcholine).

Adequate amounts of dietary choline are required for the brain to produce acetylcholine.

What’s the difference between Anticholinergic and Cholinergic?

Parts of the body that use or are affected by acetylcholine are referred to as “cholinergic.”

Substances or nutrients that interfere or impair acetylcholine activity are called “anticholinergics.”

Conversely, compounds that enhance acetylcholine activity, balance, or production are collectively called “cholinergics.”

What are the Signs and Symptoms of Choline Deficiency?

Common symptoms of a Choline Deficiency include: low energy, fatigue, memory loss, cognitive decline, learning disabilities, difficulty concentrating, muscular soreness, nerve damage, mood swings.

Individuals with “fatty liver” disease are often at a higher risk for choline deficiency.

Can I use Acetylcholine with the other Natural Stacks Brain Food Supplements (GABA, Dopamine and Serotonin)?

Yes! Acetylcholine Brain Food™ is a great addition to any Natural Stacks Brain Food™ stack because it acts as a “neural lubricant.”

This means it works to improve how different regions of the brain talk to each other, making all mental processing faster and more fluid.

For this reason Acetylcholine Brain Food™ may enhance the effectiveness and duration of GABA, Dopamine, and Serotonin in the brain.

How is Your Acetylcholine Supplement different than other Choline Supplements?

Acetylcholine Brain Food™ was formulated with the science-proven ingredients in the precise amounts known to increase acetylcholine production and keep its action sustained for hours on end.

The foundation of Acetylcholine Brain Food™ is Alpha GPC, a high-potency version of choline.

Choline supplements such as Alpha GPC or other choline derivatives are commonly available as standalone ingredients, but none contain the necessary cofactors, vitamins, and amino acids that support the entire metabolic cycle of this vital neurotransmitter.

Acetylcholine Brain Food™ contains the natural co-factors your brain needs to optimize acetylcholine metabolism naturally.

What Natural Stacks work well with Acetylcholine Brain Food?

Acetylcholine Brain Food™ stacks well with any of the Natural Stacks products, but for best results we recommend taking Acetylcholine with CILTEP and or MycoMIND.

Acetylcholine Brain Food™ helps potentiate the unique benefits of CILTEP and MycoMIND by increasing mental processing speed. CILTEP acts on a specific pathway in the brain (long-term potentiation), MycoMIND functions as a functional nutrient to support all higher-level cognitive function, and Acetylcholine Brain Food™ unites these unique benefits by increasing mental processing speed throughout the brain.
